CMC Student Aid Committee
This committee leads congregational efforts to encourage our youth to pursue a Christian education in Mennonite church schools with an Anabaptist tradition. The committee supervises an annual application process in which CMC youth and young adults are eligible to receive financial assistance if they are attending Bethany Christian Schools or one of our Mennonite universities or seminaries. For more information, contact Don Ebersole, chair, or Scott Litwiller, finance director.
Dear CMC Student Aid Donors,
As money becomes a harder and harder gift to give I have appreciated that so many people have looked beyond this struggle in order to foster positive educational growth. Although it is possible to have good experiences without necessarily paying more, it has been helpful for me to be able to afford places of education that really challenge me. Not to mention that many of the places I have been able to attend have been able to give me some opportunities and experiences that other institutions may not be able to offer me.
Lastly, as a person who identifies with the morals of Christian values – peace, love, forgiveness – I have found it very helpful to be surrounded by students and professors alike who are, for the most part, also sharing those same foundational morals. It is a unique experience when academics and these Christian morals can be learned and applied together. It is something that I am thankful student aid has allowed me to experience.
Thank you so much to everyone’s generous donations to the Student Aid committee for helping to lessen my monetary concerns, increasing my options of school choices, and for supporting the idea of a strong education.
Sincerely, Olivia R. Copsey, sophomore at Hesston College
